Jupiter, or The Day Everything Went Green

We have a lot of windows in our new bedroom. When it’s a full moon and the curtains are open, the room is flooded with an eerie glow. We can see stars on a clear night – there’s something quite luxurious about stargazing from bed.

Tonight, I’m staring at Jupiter. It’s bright. It’s further away from me than I will ever fully comprehend. But it’s steady and clear, and I look at it while pretending I have a grasp on the awe-inspiring magnitude of what I’m looking at.

The universe is seriously some crazy-ass, horrible, beautiful, humbling shit, isn’t it?
