I wonder if, in land-locked aquariums, captive sea creatures feel the same way we feel when we’re out in the middle of the ocean on a tiny boat. I wonder if they sense how far they are from home, if they feel their own version of lost, unmoored, disoriented, afraid… Or, like humans, do some of them love the sense of being far from home? In danger? Are they exhilarated by it?
