iPhone photo

Technology is amazing.

We were running around Temecula Creek Inn, location scouting for the wedding we’re shooting tomorrow (I’m second shooter and cat herder). We are snapping pictures of each other in random locations using fancy-ass cameras with fancy-ass features.

As we finished up, I flopped down on the grass to rest while he put all his cameras and lenses back in his bag. He stood up, walked towards me, pulled out his iPhone, and took this shot.

We now live in a world where our mobile devices are capable of capturing (and editing) imagery like this at a moment’s notice.

There’s no profound realization here, it’s just… amazing. I remember a film-only world, so sometimes it just blows my mind.

(Life: So much is happening. I’ve flipped the bird at the startup world after being burnt twice, I’m healthier than ever but also fatter than I have been in a long time, I’m walking dogs FOR MONEY, I’m tanned because I’m outdoors so much, and I jump in the ocean at least once per week… life is better than good. I’m so happy and healthy. It’s great. There! An update.)
